WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

Soaking up the mist spraying from Vernal Falls on the hike down into Yosemite Valley.

Soaking up the ... oh man, tourist trail traffic jam. I gotta get outta here!

THAT's better. Near camp on the Virginia Canyon Creek. Had a sun-drenched emerald pool all to myself for swimming and a huge granite slab warmed by the sun for lizard-lounging about on. Made a fire at a beautiful campsite that night too. Wasn't even planning on stopping but sometimes the places you discover on trail overpower you and you gotta spend more time there.

Camped the next night on the shores of Benson Lake. This place has a nice "beach" called the Riviera that makes for long romantic strolls and driftwood searching. Awesome.

Ever seen a spring actually SPRING from the stone? Well now I have seen everything. (That's a facecious comment. There's always more to see and do.)
