Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

North of legendary outdoorsy community Bend, Oregon we visited Smith Rock State Park, a rock climbing mecca. Appropriate scrambling and exploration was in order.

Those terrified little things clinging to the side of that pillar known as Monkey Face are climbers, annd it was WINDY that day. Impressive.

Lake Billy Chinook in the Cove Palisades.

The lake with the "Island" as it's called, one of the last patches of pre-settlement high desert in existence.
