Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

This is freaking AWESOME. Seriously, some of the best pointing and clicking available out there in this cold, unforgiving interweb.

Do you like to travel? Fancy yourself the traveling type, do ya? Find yourself without the time to travel as often as you'd prefer? Well don't be a sad sap ... just go HERE.

Some enterprising Belgian photographer gentleman, outraged at the Taliban's wanton destruction of ancient Buddha statues in Afghanistan, started the World Heritage Tour, an online collection of immersion photographs taken at the places named by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites, "recording them for posterity and giving everyone virtual ownership of the cultural wonders of the world." The variety of landscapes and cultural treasures is absoutely mesmerizing, and definitely worth sustained exploration. New photos are added periodically, so there's good reason to keep visiting. As if steeping yourself in a nice steaming pot of World Heritage tea every once in a while isn't good enough reason.

If you only want to spend five minutes gettin' cultured, I recommend tooling around Nepal.
