The Mountainjedi and two counterparts at the El Oro booth in the tourism fair. The orange-ish poster in the background was made with a photo I took, and during the day some of the booth visitors were asking for autographs after Melba explained that the photographer was standing right there. Z-List celebrity all over again.

My host Miguel and his daughter, practicing her "timida" pose.

Iguana Tail Smoking. THE new must-do extreme sport in Ecuador.

Miguel's sweet apartment. Eggs and coffee and toast on the balcony in the morning, what a way rev the engine for a spot of work.

This iguana told me his name was Elmo and that we was backpacking all the way from Buenos Aires to Cabo San Lucas. He said he was robbed the other day and getting hassled by the embassy after asking for help replacing his passport. I didn't believe him but did buy him a Pilsener...
