Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

In Loja before going to the Jungle for Thanksgiving, I was lucky enought to spend some time cycling with another volunteer pictures here. She rocks. That is a plastic bag duct taped into a makeshift backpack. THAT is campo fabulous! Our bike ride got rained out but fun was had nevertheless.

In the mountains of Parque Nacional Podocarpus things got crazy. Not too crazy though. Good wine, good conversation, and a sunset and night of stars to die for...

Sunset, like I said. Before the wine was tapped.

Ahhh, there it is. The wine.

Fire didn't actually get this out of hand. Just a fifteen second exposure is all it takes to unleash the magic! We didn't hit the sack until past 3 in the morning. That's pretty unusual for a PCV, at least this particular PCV. I'm in bed by 11 on a normal night. More pics in a little while, I gots some things to take care of during this short trip to internet accessible land....
