Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

A final pic from the hike up to the Laguna de Chinchilla. This is on the way back down to the dirt road where we disembarked from the ranchera... note the branches growing only to one side of these trees. Wind'll do that to ya! We were getting blown over on that walk down, but at least it wasn't raining.

And the celebratory TIGRILLO when we returned to Zaruma. It was extra special because I'd been fasting for the whole trip, just to see what being really hungry felt like. (Uncomfortable)
After eating a cup of yogurt and a banana around 6:20am Monday, I didn´t get a bit of anything until around 4:30pm Tuesday. But it was ice cream so it was all good. The tigrillo was dessert more or less. Delicious.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE! So I was able to hit up another corner of this beautiful country, Parque Nacionál Cajas, outside of Cuenca. The Chuffmate and I packed our bags despite the less than inviting weather and knocked out two beautiful days backpacking through some relatively remote corners of the park. Nice to have a camera again. Too bad I waste its talents taking ridiculous midair jumping pictures! (Oh who am I kidding, I love those pictures hehehe)
