Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

Repping the site, as the Tshirt clearly shows. We were hanging out at Café con Ron (Coffee with Rum), the new bar/restaurant opened and operated by a good friend of Peace Corps. These faces should not be construed as having anything to do with the service or quality of the food or ambiance of Café con Ron. They shoul dbe construed as having to do with the fact that volunteers are by their very nature, quite clinincally insane. (For those offended, please refer to the disclaimer on the right hand side of the blog. Thank you.)

An Ecuadorian table guest trying his hand (face, whatever) at the whole flesh distortion thing. Good stuff. That's what I call a successful cultural exchange!

Dad . . .

While trapped in Cuenca I wasn't totally useless. The other guy in those frisbee photos asked if I wanted to help him with a nutrition activity at a day care he sometimes works with. I agreed. Here are some of the more energetic kids and I using some of the energy we obtained by eating the right foods. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. Dreamy. Perfection. If any of you are out there still thinking about making good on your promises to visit, better get hopping, because summer is on the way and it is gonna be a good time.
