Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

Exploring the windiest spot in Zaruma, the tip of Pride Rock. No such thing as a tall tree here, the wind would blow it over and snap it like a metaphor for something that snaps really easily.

On the summit edge of the stone above Pride Rock, we leaned out over the paramo below and let the wind hold us up. Exhilarating!

Some local mountain flora.
The cave beneath Pride Rock's leaning stone... big enough to sleep in, but not on this trip. Maybe next time, if there is a next time.

A fluff looking pensive near the cave entrance.
