One of the STILL WORKING ritual fountains.


An example of the second style of Inkan masonry. This one is superior because it does not involve the use of mortar or mud between the stones ... they're carved to fit together precicely without anything in between. And they look soft and round like pillows. But they're not.

Striking how steep the slopes were where they situated these strutures, and how well they seemed to fit into the landscape. Very organic feeling, not like Houston, or what I've seen of Houston.


A steeply descending staircase formed to the curves of the rock. This was the scene of another killer game of Twenty Questions...
