IF EVERYTHING IN LIFE HAD A POINT, THERE'D BE NO PLACE TO SIT.
Well this mountain above the Middle Fork of the Kings River sure gets the point.

Cooking dinner two nights ago. That's my sleeping bag too, cuz when I get my mountain sleep on, I GET IT ON! This is a view/campsite that most thru-hikers never see. They've already gone out to Independence to resupply and so are down in the valley below getting skeletonized by the mosquitoes.


That's not to say that the cliffside campsite was mosquito-free...
