There was enough time while camped on the side of the road for a day and a half to putter around in between poops and assemble a rock snake cairn to entertain the passersby. It should be noted at this point that Hwy 2 is closed and there is no vehicle traffic here. In fact, the cliffside was crumbling the entire time I was there and I kept waiting for a big boulder to come lunging down the slope and take out the tent. Never happened thankfully.
A typical view from the 25 mile "post sickness" day. Nearly no visibility and frigid temperatures all throughout the day while in a shroud of life-draining mist.
Walking through a tunnel with white ghost mist at both ends is a surreal experience not to be missed.
Stupid pine cone tricks, take 3?
The stone sign marking the completion of 400 miles near Camp Glenwood Cabin. WEET.
