Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

15 Jul 2008

Close encounters of the 4 legged kind... this little lady was protecting her tiny sopotted fawn up on the shoulder of Half Dome in Yosemite

Running out of light for climbing on the 4th of July.

On the way up the famous cables that lead up the last 400 feet of Half Dome. Oh man this is gonna be sweet!

Airing out the dogs as the sun sets, a 4800 foot drop below the ankles.

Last rays of the glowing orb bestowing their light on me and the few, the proud, the Half Dome 4th of July-ers.

m-Jedi,

Nice pix. congrats.

Yosemite’s Half Dome hike is a superb adventure. I've done it 22 times. The views and sense of accomplishment are worth it. Folks need to prepare though...it's not a walk-in-the-park. Water, boots, hiking poles and gloves for the cables - and be in top shape! I've written the only hiking guide to Half Dome and suggest it for you. It is called "One Best Hike: Yosemite's Half Dome.”

Carpe Diem - Seize the Day!!
