Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

You know, Bobcats aren't the only mountain-loving critters that know a good chocolate hazelnut spread when they see one. Marmots get in on the action too!

Seems this marmot got a litle bit excited to have Nutella up there at more than 8,000 feet. Glad to help out, I say.

And where there's one, there's another. We sat and enjoyed breakfast on the edge of the void for a while as the sun rose.

The famous cable route up top the highest part of the rock. Video coming soon, to give you some sense of perspective and scale.

And THERE's the famous chunk of granite that hosted us on the night of the 4th, as seen from Olmstead Point.
