A regal forest friend in the spectacularly sunny meadow that spreads out front of Drakesbad.


With a talented chef as your co-worker you can expect to be eating well. Sometimes twice. Dessert pictured here, PCT hiker portions (two whole plates). There is ice cream, bread, orange juice, hot cocoa, cranberry juice, and fresh baked cookies on TAP for the employees. It simply does NOT get any better than working at Drakesbad as a PCT thru-hiker. Seriously.


Yak and Niko digging to the bottom of the chocolate ice cream last night by the permanent employee fire ring, which pretty much always has something burning in it.


True dat! A common inspirational sight in the dining room is the daily quote.


Breakfast of crepes and fruit, bacon (on tap), fresh fruits, and all the cereal, OJ, and milk you can stuff into your gullet.
