Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

Shasta at sunset redux.

Sunrise the next morning from the lookout tower bivouac. No water for another 4.7 miles or so, but no matter, the windy lightning-filled night up there was way worth it. 360 degree views for the first time in a long while.

And heeere's the friendly fly that we encountered at Ash Camp later that day after descending from the tower.

And the very accommodating Zen master "Good Fortune" with his 1978 VW camper bus. $4,000 and it's yours. Anyone interested, I can give you his contact info.

Hello gorgeous National Forest land, thanks for the shade and the fascinating wildlife and pleasantly cool microclimate. Oh wait, the National Forest is one block over. Yay industrial logging!
