Stehekin also has a cool public lakeside funroom (for lack of a better word). Inside are just a few tables and chairs and a fireplace. Several hikers gathered wood and spirits and a ukelele and had ourselves a nice warm time the other night.


The funroom from the outside. That's Lake Chelan, the country's third deepest lake after Crater Lake and Lake Tahoe, both of which make appearances along the trail.


This is pretty much ALL of Stehekin. A bakery, a ranch, and a landing with a funroom. Not much more, and it's nice that way. Except when you need a doctor!
