Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

OH alright. I couldn't leave without giving a taste of my current environs and activities...
Sunset last night over the Carribbean Sea from the upstairs of the villa I'm not staying in (but will stay in tomorrow night).

Moon and palm trees in the villa's backyard. This is where the rehearsal dinner (sans rehearsal, we like to do things off the cuff here on the islands) went down.

I'll give you three guesses as to what we had for dinner. Here the groom-to-be and I are getting to know our food.

The owner of the villa tried to light a bonfire made of wet freshly cut wood, so the fire never got off the ground, but the lightning offshore gave quite the light show nevertheless. Zoom in and check out the double-arcing lightning bolt!

There is no arguing with the fun of a swim-up poolside bar. We were playing pool volleyball, drinks in hand, until well past midnight.
