Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

While Kingfisher stayed in camp and read, I went on walkabout and found a neat little waterfall to take a bath in a few miles from the ranch and the campground.

Bright Angel Campground is right near the famous Phantom Ranch, which was opened in 1905. The camping spaces are all along the Bright Angel Creek, pictured here, and framed by beautiful cottonwoods.

Silver Bridge. Not the most creative name in the park. On the way to the North bank.

Bobcat, Kingfisher, and Aardvark with the Colorado at Pipe Creek Beach. (Hehe, I wonder when she'll realize she's got her own animal name now...)

Ahhh, at canyon-bottom again. The Crater Whale and I get vertical in celebration.
