Chronicles of the Wayward Moot

WELCOME TO THE MOOT, oh world-wanderers and word-whisperers. After two years of Peace Corps. After 2,200 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. What. Comes. Next?

20 Dec 2009

A lovely friend from the Peace Corps came to New Orleans for a work-related workshop and stayed an extra day to visit. We paid a visit to the Mandeville Lakefront (which you may have noticed is showing up more and more often here) and had a great time at a New Orleans tradition: Rock n' Bowl. I'd never been, but the kitchy mix of a live music stage, quirky decorations, good food, an island bar, and a row of bowling lanes was just what we needed to ge through the rainy cold evening. And the jukebox has some great stuff in it too.

I had to listen to a lot of country music during my extended Christmas travels, so I am suggesting "White Lightning" as a name for your spiffy Prius.
